for many reasons...one, it puts your newly listed item at the top of the list...two, it keeps with the spirit of an auction, three, my reserve price (absolute lowest price I'll except) is lower than my BUY IT NOW price. Won't say how much lower, but people will need to bid to see.

No close ups, I know. I that I had show the engine cover on and I didn't want the people to think the engine cover will fit with the spacer.

With the mods you have and what you're asking your car is truly a bargain.

well yeah, its a bargain if you were to add up the cost of all the crap he did and add it onto the suggested retail price....

i personally wouldnt touch it, and im not too sure there are going to be too many people willing to pay $34,000 for a 2-year old g35 that has not only been ripped apart, but has likely been beat to **** on and off the track more times then ive taken my g to the wal-mart down the street.

i mean yeah its cool to admire what hes done, and it would be nice to have my g put down that much power, but would any of you really throw down that much cash on a car that someone else has owned for the better half of its life, with a warranty that should still have 28000 miles, but is now nonexistent?

hey, but maybe theyll be an enthusiast out there looking to spend that kinda cash for a toy.

I AGREE with u man.. not saying its not a great deal but the warranty is no longer in existance.. so ur basically buying a hooked up g.. i mean i prob would of bought it myself it it was on sale 2 months ago.. but u always want that warranty cushion.. and yeap who knows how many times its hit the tracks and dyno...

From my perspective I agree with what you say, but would have used a different tone if I said it.

Personally I wouldn't touch a car such as this - I don't buy used sports cars of any kind for exactly the reasons you state. I won't even buy an untitled DEMO. I know what I do to cars on test drives and I'm not fooling myself into thinking that anyone else behaves on their test drives. When I went G shopping minimal miles was a significant factor in my decision as to which car I took home.

Having said that, Randy seems (I don't know him or his car IRL) to have taken a lot of care and pride in what he's done, and he's always seemed reasonable in his approach. If someone were in the market for this kind of ride (and there are tons of folks who are) they can certainly do a lot worse. I don't get the impression that this car (unlike many others) was thrown together. I may be wrong, but that's my impression.

For what the car has installed and the manner in which Randy has conducted himself on this board, I'd say it was a very good deal - comparatively speaking. Just not for me.

Good luck with the sale Randy - I hope you get every penny. I'm surprised you're bailing because of location though. I just moved from Texas (thank god) and the roads down there beg for high speed.

Damn man why you gotta ruin his sale???

I know how hard it is to sell a modded car but thats the last thing he would want to hear.

Anyways I just bought my G35 about 2 weeks ago and the short time I have been on the board your is one of the nicest I have seen. Very nicley put together and if I was still in the market for a G35 I would picked yours up...

Good luck on ebay, i had a bad experience when I was trying to sell my car on ebay but then again I was not selling a Infiniti.

That's okay...because they are wrong. One, the warranties still exist and the only thing the new buyer would have to deal with is if he has engine problems, the supercharger may contribute to them denying him warranty work. Everything else is covered by Magnuson Moss Warranty Act - http://www.granatellimotorsports.com/magnusonmoss.htm

Also, they obviously don't know my history here on the site if they claim my car to be "beat to ****"...this car has been pampered from day one. Yes, it's been to the road track 3 times, but always driven with the consideration that it's my daily driver.

If you care about putting it at the top (assuming a low to high price ordering), why don't you just start it at $0.01? :P

And having a reserve completely goes against the spirit of an auction. It only hurts you. I as well as any of my friends that I've talked to about this agree that reserves just **** them off, and they don't even bother to watch an auction with a reserve, they just go on to the next one. If you're not going to disclose how much they need to bid to know if you're even going to sell it to them, they're not going to waste their time bidding.

Seriously, reserves = retarded.

So, let me get this straight, I'm retarded because I don't want to sell my car for $20,100? Because that's the hugh bid right now and if no one else bids and there's no reserve, that's what I'm obligated to do. Not putting a reserve is retarded. Plus, I put my reserve lower than my BUY IT NOW. People will just have to bid until they reach that reserved amount.

Maybe just make the first bid the MINIMUM amount you would be willing to make the sale for. Don't forget to add in the e-bay auction amount for the transaction and the potential paypal fees that could be added on top.

I just spend $129.01 shipping a 121.10 pound box of calipers, rotors and pads to Louisiana. If I had paypal fees and e-bay fees on top of that $2500 order, my profit would have been severely affected. I can only imagine what that would do to you on a car sale.
