How bad is your gas mileage?

hey guys...I was just wondering how bad your gas mileage is. Don't get me wrong, I still love driving my car, but sometimes I wonder if there's something wrong with it.

I own an A/T, it gets an average of 13.5-14 mpg. (no where near 18) I try to shift it up to 5th whenever I'm on the highway (on the triptronic), or at anytime I'm over 40mph, I don't stomp on the gas pedal, or do other things that might burn alot of gas. The only thing I do, is run the AC frequently..the afternoons are hot here in hawaii...

Anything I can do to improve my mileage? do you guys think a cold air intake will help?

thanks

Impulse...what rpms are u shifting at in manual mode...maybe for better gas mileage, its better to leave it in standard auto mode and let the car shift at low rpms for itself.
I get poor gas mileage as well, around 15 mpg city, but It may be due to the fact that i rev my 6MT sometimes and shift late...i cant help it, its so addicting sometimes.
Also, due to construction on the highway around here, its hard to avoid traffic, however when i do get traffic free road- i get decent gas mileage, >20mpg on the highway in 6th gear wit cruse control.

too bad my G is a dam traffic magnet though

i sit in traffic 2wice a day and i punch it any time i can. result: 16-17 mpg. The trick is not to run the A/C, at all. it robs power anyway.
