Question about Rims.

Hey wassup guys... im sorta new to the whole g35 scene and was browsing through ebay and saw a great deal IMO on a set of 20inch ADR Chrome rims that look pretty nice. I know this isnt the time or season to be buying rims but i'd save them till spring time... but i just think this is a good deal. My main concern is i've heard stories that by putting anything larger than 19inch for wheels will change/ruin the drive of the G... is this true? Has anyone encountered this problem or know somebody who has or hasnt? Heres a link to the rims im talking about. Any input would be greatly appreciated guys! THANKS!

I think that you'll find after putting 20's on, the ride will be a little harder. But i think after driving the car with rims on for a week, you wont notice it anymore.

Those rims are very common on our G's. It all depends on you, if you want to be different or similar. And for the 20" i have 19" w/ springs and the ride got a bit stiffer , but my boy has a G w/ 20" dropped and it rides just like mine.

Don't do it. I bet the ADR's weigh over 30 lbs.

Your final drive or speedo will not be affected as long as you compensate with the proper OD of the tire.

Bronze rims look best on twilight blue, black, and ivory pearl.

my thoughts:
- any 20" wheels that can be purchased for $500 a set would make me skeptical about weight and quality.
- the ad says 20x8.5. is that for all four? most people go with a staggered set up, and also the 8.5s in the rear are going to look very skinny.

welcome to the board. you might get more feedback if you posted this in the wheel forum
