Sluggish shifts when cold?

My 03 5AT car doesnt shift near as quick/firm when the car is cold. Once it warms up....shifts like a champ! Anyone else experience this?

Everything relating to cold, always affects performance. You ever notice, your bones dont move to swiftly when your cold, but when your muscles and bones are nice and warm, you feel like you run a lil quicker? Why do you put food in the fridge? To slow down the spoiling process. An engine and transmission works the same way. Now, when your engine is nice and warm, it will love the intake of cold air. Just the same way your body loves a nice cold corona when your out in the heat.

Lately 5th and 6th gear have at times been a bear to shift into. I seriously have had to put all my weight into it to get into 5th at times. Linkage fubared? What do you guys think? i have 5K miles on it. Silly to have to get something like that fixed so soon. WTF!
