snow?

wanting to get an 05 MT G35 in the summer. What are your guys opinions of them in snow? I drive 35 miles one way to work and have a front wheel drive car so its not that bad. How does the coupe do in say 4 to 6 inches on snow? I'm in Ohio by the way.

True, with a good set of snow tires the G does fine. FWD on skinny tires is probably better. If you are really anxious keep your FWD car and use it on the really crappy days.

Does fine in the snow, live in New England so the snow is pretty bad here although I haven't seen much yet beside one snow storm for about 4-6 inches. With snow tires it does fine I went from an AWD car to a RWD and honestly I am happy with the RWD fine.

Remember.. snow tires the most important key here.

We get much the same weather as you in Ohio here in Southern Ontario. Your G with snows on will get the job done.

I live in Cincinnati and hit a mailbox and went in a ditch with the summer tires, 2 inches of snow, going about 5 mph. Somehow there was no damage (plastic mailbox) but it was scary as hell. You WILL have to have another car or be ready to shell out about $1500 on snow tires and wheels. Don't even try to drive in the snow with the Potenzas. Also, anytime its below 40 and you give it gas it will fishtail even with the slip control on b/c they just cant stick in the cold.

summer tires only for summer
all season tires for something in between
being in ohio ... u need a dedicated winter setup ... many here are doing it

i have a winter setup with 17 inch wheels and Dunlop sport M3 tires... they are just awesome... and in my research even the Blizzak LM-22 are very very good.

What's fun in snow is some 35" xterrains on a jeep, tossing 15 foot roostertails
I bought my winter wheels off some guy in Cleveland (18" continentals)

FWIW, I have an 05 6MT and I am very happy with Blizzak LM-22 17" tires so far this winter.

Spudly, if that was directed towards me screw you. I tried to get home before it started snowing and planned on buying winter tires but it was early in the year for snow and i hadnt had the chance.
