Not in Florida. I was involved in a not-at-fault accident all by myself where I insisted that I take the G to my friends body shop. GEICO tried to insist that I go to one of their 'certified' body shops for many reasons, but in the end they paid for repairs to be done at a friends shop who did "my kind" of work.

Marco's Auto Body...they literally rip a new *ahem* hole in you but they are HIGHLY recommended. Come with a lifetime warranty as long as you own the vehicle. If the distance isn't of a concern, I'd go to the one in San Gabriel. Marco's himself works at that location and checks all vehicles leaving his shop. Looking at those damages, they'll charge around 6-7k. Insane prices but if you don't have to pay for it, definitely worth it.

interesting, i didn't realize that i could go wherever I wanted. I just took their word that they wanted an appoved shop to do it. anyway, good luck with getting your car fixed. i would see if you can have the shop put replace some of the OEM parts with aftermarket parts while they're at it. My friend got rear ended in his corvette, and had them install in aftermarket exhaust to replace his broken stock one. Since the aftermarket part cost the same as the OEM piece (within a few bucks), they put the new part on for no extra cost.

WickedG-

My car is at DM auto body, and Im a little worried. I spoke to Ruben and he mentioned that only the damaged area would be repainted. I explained to him that the car is pearl white and hard to color match. Rueben said it wouldnt be a problem. Should I worry? I was really expacting the whole car to be patined.

I probably wouldn't worry too much. I had my bumper replaced by them and they matched the color pretty well (KX6 - DP). Just be sure to check carefully when you pick up your car. They replaced the badges without using a template, and I made them redo it (since it was obvious to me that they didn't use a template).
