Re: BRAND NEW-Veilside G35 Coupe Aero Kit
According to sternroolz's definition of "rice", rims would be considered rice as well as window tint. People nowadays use the term rice way too much wihtout even knowing what theyre talking about. For whoever asked about the rims, they're Veilside Andrew Evolution V, and they retail for around $3400 for 19x9", 19x10"...pretty pricey.

Re: BRAND NEW-Veilside G35 Coupe Aero Kit
So, that's what you have to do these days to make your car stand out??? Wow, my G catches enough attention in it's stock form. So much attention that I want to ask them to stop looking. There was this hot chick in her A4 1.8T, and she was looking at my G and smiling. We were driving next to each other in traffic, and she has a big smile on her face
No need to go to those extreme measures to make your G stand out. If you like the spoiler, that's a different story. To each his own, but I am REALLY happy with my stock G! PEACE.

She was in EB on route 18. Unfortunately, I was in no mood to get anyone's number after a long day of work, and sitting in route 18 traffic.
I've never seen a red G on 18. I've seen a couple of DG's, a couple of blacks, and one white that drives south bound on 18 every morning. There are many G starting to pop up in the neighborhood.
Anyway, back to the original topic, because I don't want to high jack this thread...

The term RICE has been way overuse lately but especially on this forum. It's a shame that those people can not be more open minded. We customise our car to stand out from the crowd since the G35 is getting so common. If you don't like it? fine, but there is no need to hate.

The G35 is "getting so common"? Compared to what? Maybe it's different in warmer climates, but I can go months up here without seeing another G35. I can't stand at a crosswalk for 10 minutes without seeing a BMW. Hell, I see Porsches more often than I see G35s. The only (distinctly styled) cars I see less often are in the $80k+ price range. Except for M45s. I've only ever seen 1 of those outside a dealer lot. Anyway, one of the joys of owning a first year model at any price is exclusivity. Only 2003 G35s look like 2003 G35s, and there are only about 18,000 of those in existence in this nation of roughly 180 million drivers.
So if you need to put an outrageous body kit on a G35, I can't imagine what you'd have to do to any other model.
That said, I agree (and have said before) that "rice" is overused. But a better choice of words wouldn't make that wing any less ridiculous. If you want a race car, buy a race car. If you want your car to look like a race car but in fact go slightly slower than stock, buy that kit.

JDMan - Point taken. But if you live in big cities, you are bound to see a lot of them on the road. Keep in consideration that the G35 is not even 1 year old and yet, I know there is at least 10 of them where I live already (I don't see them everyday but I don't see much more 330ic either). Just imagine in 2 or 3 years, they will be very common. Right now, the G35 attracts attention stock but it won't be the case forever.

Being the butt of jokes and having people laugh their asses off looking at what was once a beautifully styled car in its stock form turned into some 13 year old's wet dream is not the attention I want.
I'd rather be in a butt ugly Omni GLH that looks stock and smokes C5s and M3s straight-line than look like a reject from "The Fast and Furious" aka "The Stupid and Clueless".
