Ignorance runs rampant on this forum....everyone here thinks that unless the car is stock, it's "rice", and compares it to the fast and the furious. Take a look at an option mag sometime(for those of you who know what that is), and see how tuners in Japan fix up cars.

 

I've been fixing up cars for over 20 years. It's not how much you put on a car, it's how smooth it looks, how well all the modifications flow, and the overall execution of a particular theme. Over the last 10 years or so, the only people who seem to understand that are hotrod builders the likes of Chip Foose, Boyd Coddington, and a few select others. If a car goes by me at 75 mph and I can tell every piece of bodywork that has been modified, its not smooth. Look at any of Foose's work and you could look for hours to figure out that he're re-radiused the curve of a hoodline or fender or that the roofline is now different. These body-kits that are supposed to be so cool destroy the lines of the cars and look like you've piled 50 pounds of plastic and bodyfiller and made 15 jagged and pointy edges on a bumper/side skirt/rear fascia and have no 'flow'. The fact that these kits are mass produced means that you won't be the only one with one, either. If you want to REALLY stand out, custom-build one/design one yourself or have a top-notch custom builder create something that's truly unique. That's what seems to be missing in the majority of import car projects I see on the streets and in magazines. Lot's of silly angles, chicken wire, and towel rack spoilers just doesn't cut it for me.

Thats a very broad and ignorant statement in itself. "Everyone" does not think that just because a car is not stock it's rice. Whats rice is ridiculously ugly, useless, heavy bodykits that do nothing more than uglify (not a word) a car that's already a looker from the start.

Look at the Gialla kit for example, sure thats a beautiful kit, yet some people might call it rice....but thats only because it too does not have much use. Yet compared with this kit, it's an amazing work of art.

To tell you the truth, the meaning of "rice" is stupid, and people use that word very openly even when they shouldn't. But either way this Veilside kit is still fugly, they could have put a little more effort into it like they did with the THREE 350z kits.

As i would expect that most of u to kno that the G35 Coupe is not a car thaz All Show and no Go simply becuz of the crazy time it can do from 0-60. so havin a kit that looks awesome on it, it's just like puttin toppings on ur ice cream.

It's ****in sweet as it is already, ur just makin it better and more desirable for others that doesnt' have it yet, u kno?

and i think that the veilside kit without the wing but instead of those rims, have these on. then it's a perfect set
