Definitely...I have the INJEN CAI too and it made the CAI sound so much better (at least I think it did).

Overall, I am extremely happy with the sound of my car.
I hear stock coupes and they just don't sound right anymore.

Just like Tony will tell you...more growl and some HP's too! The MD 1/2" spacer gave my car more go power for sure & at a rather small cost.

Dyno graphs are great and all, but I was asking whether or not you could FEEL more power. Not the "I think it feels more powerful" sensation. I've done more research and it sounds like everyone is happy w/ the mod, so I guess I'm in.

Ooooh, just got back.

Definate power increase above 4000RPM, no question about it. Pulled like a raped ape, hehe.

There was an change in sound (deeper/better)........definately well worth the $$$$

hehe, more than pleased

I took it out for another run becuase on the way home was traffic time.

2 things I noticed now that the roads are clear

- before, it always felt from 5000RPM onwards like the engine would die (probably fomr the front 2 cylinders not getting enough air). Now, holy ****, it pulls like a doubly raped ape from 5000 to 7000, feeling like it's got another few thousand RPMs left in that gear. That was the most pleasing to me - ever since day 1 it always felt like it had power from 4000-5000RPM, but after that point would just drop off. Now, hehe, problem solved

- downshifting from 2nd to 1st around 40KPH, hehe, barked the tires (pretty hard to do on my firehawk sz50 EPs - p275...ont he stock tires I could easily enough) and when I shifted into 2nd I lost the rear end....it wheel hopped a bit and almost went into the next lane, totally took me by suprise)

yep, yep, definate power increase. Soooooooooooooo worth it

Thumbs up 99 Atlantic. I love the 5/16 on mine and I'm sure the 1/2 is a nootch above that.

Yes, it does. I used both the existing and new gaskets. One on top and one below the spacer.

That's actually a good point that my mechanic poitned out to me - it should have come with 2 gaskets because on a car with a lot of mileage, the stock gasket would not be re-usable and you'd have to order a 2nd one.

Be sure to recheck all the bolts in a week or so as recommended in the install instructions. All the centre bolts in mine were loose but the perimeter ones were fine.
