Proabably the ISO Thermal MREV plus. The Copper version would be more of a luxury than a necesity for you in the warm climate. It would allow you not to cut into a hose in your engine bay. You could PM tony from Motordyne and ask him what is best for your situation. His name is Hydrazine

Aside from the MREV Plus option, which is an upgrade to the MREV . . . I take it that you are asking about the Iso Therma MREV, which utilizes a Coolant Control Valve versus the Copper Iso Thermal MREV, which utilizes a copper heating plate to manage the plenum heat.

The question, which you need to ask yourself is, "If and when the outside air temperature is below 55 degrees F . . . Do I wish to pop the hood and set the CCV to the ON position with a screwdriver?" If you are choose to manually set the CCV, the Iso Thermal MREV is your answer. However, if you simply want to install the MREV mod and never wish to set anything ever again, then the Copper Iso Thermal MREV is your answer.

Setting the position of the CCV takes mere seconds to do. Regardless of which option you may choose, you will be quite pleased with the MREV's results. Enjoy!

Anybody else have the mrev and strup headers installed? Anyone pre-post dynos of the headers, with the mrev already on?

Question Does the Strup increase cabin noise?

Hello Gents,

Just curious, Does the Strup headers increase cabin noise where it's unbearable? Noise as far as raspy to droning sounds that are tire some on long trips. The plan is to run the stock cats with the Strup headers (hopefully to retain some of the OEM exhaust note).

Thanks in advance.

HAHAHA.

Hey, MIKESTARR - are you installing them separately? Can you post dynos of before and after the STRUP HEADERS... IF you don't dyno them then at least a "butt-dyno review" of if they actually are worth 500 bucks and about a full day's work for a do-it-yourself-er?

Thanks.

Yup, i will give a review of the headers. I will most likely be going to a performance shop rather than the dealer (the dealer is working out prices right now) and the shop has a dyno. I will dyno before and after. I will be intalling the crawford HF cats at the same time, so you will be getting the after dyno of the headers AND HF cats. I also probably wont be installing untill march (when I put my summer wheels back on, and when my birthday is) . I will keep you all updated though. In the meantime, anyone else have experience with these headers?

How headers affect exhaust sound and fuel economy

In general, what can we expect in terms of change in exhaust note and fuel economy when we upgrade the headers?

I'm also planning on upgrading my stock 05 6MT with MREV+ and strup headers. Gonna have them installed at the same time over at Z Car Garage.

I have opted out on the Strup Headers since I found out that they will not comply with the APS TT or ST or JWT TT... which I am thinkin bout. *evil grin*
