Is there a way to turn the fans on while the air is being recycled without the AC on. Whenever I try to turn the fans on without AC it automatically brings in outside air. Then I push the recycle button, then it automatically turns the AC on. When I drove the Sedan (loaner car), it was possible to turn the fans on while the air was being recycled without the AC on. Sound confusing? Maybe there is something wrong with the system.

 

Yup there should be two arrows pointing up and down.. Just put it on regular and you can move the arrow's as high or as low as you want.... Should be on the left side of the console...

Hi Eddie,

I have done that before, but I think that the air is not being filtered when the AC is not on. The smell of the air is different without the AC on, and it doesn't smell good at all. Does anyone else have this same issue?

yeah, i cursed out my car when it did that to me... i guess they dont want you to turn on recirculated air without AC compressor...could be a precaution because of the activated charcoal air filter.....who knows.

Your AC control module might be acting up. There is a known issue with these from infiniti. You should be able to recirculate air when using fans only. I would take it to the dealership. Just my thoughts though... Peace. [img]/w3timages/icons/cool.gif[/img]

Is this proven? I too cannot use Recirculate without the AC.
