I guarantee you guys that contaminants in your G's gas tank are only at the bottom of the tank after it's been stationary for a long duration, like sitting in your garage overnight. Driving it, turning, stopping, going...do you think that stuff is just staying at the bottom all the time?

I'd be MORE concerned about contaminants from a gas station's underground tanks being stirred up after a tanker refills them. NEVER EVER EVER fill up your car if there is a tanker truck refilling a gas station's reservoirs or if one has just departed (you obviously may not know if one has just left)!!! Imagine all the crap that is settled in the bottom of a tank that holds thousands of gallons. Why take a chance?

I don't think our cars are fitted with a filter, only seems to be a strainer in the tank according to my spare parts guy.
If there is one I'd like to know where it's located.

I never let the light turn on.. I go fill up 20-25 bucks or so when it's 1/4 tank empty... I don't know about you guys but I don't want to be looking for a gas station in a place I don't know while my tank is E. I do alot of highway trips.

I think all that junk about trash is just that, junk. The pump is mounted on the bottom of the tank, so wouldn't it logically suck from the bottom of the tank. It's not sucking from the top down. I remember the inside of my bonneville's tank after 108,000 miles when it's fuel pump failed and there wasn't squat in there other than gas.

I can get about 80 more miles when the light comes on. One time I got over 500 miles on a tank full and another time I put in 19.6 gallons!

Yeah, I got 400+ miles from my trip back from Santa Barbara with another "Female" passenger in the car When I filled up, it was about E and took about 18 Gallons. So, I'm guessing there is about 2-3 gallons remain after E.

Gas Isnt As Dirty As It Used To Be I Drop Tanks On Cars All The Time And All I See In There Is Gas... There Are New Laws Out There That Gas Stations Have To Keep Up With The Maintenance On There Tanks Every Few Years...its Best If You Go To The Newest Gas Stations Near You Cause They Have The Newest Tanks That Arent Breaking Down....plus The New Tanks Out For Stations Are Plastic Now So Its All Gonna Change...remember Gas Has To Meet Certain Standards Here In The U.s. To Be Sold So Dont Think You Are Getting Crappy Gas....the Best I Ever Got On A Full Tank Was About 400+...the Most I Have Ever Put In Is About 17 Gallons... I Get Nervous When The Light Comes On But I Have Pushed It A Little Before But I Guess Not Far Enough Its Time To Experiment And See How Far I Can Go With It On...these Cars Are Great On Highway Mileage Too:d

I usually only get about 15 gallons in right after the light turns on.

Ive heard of problems of not being able to fill your tank all the way up. I know this was with the 350Z, but I dont know about our G's. Is this the case?
