The G can NOT swim!!!!!

I am soooooooooooooo pissed off at mother nature!

I went out today to purchase some stuff at officemax and while i was there the power went out 5 times and it sounded like WWIII outside.(only lasted about 10 - 15 min)

I had to rush to a meeting and the only way out of the parking lot was under water ... the back side of the G was barely able to stay in contact with the ground durring my very un-graceful exit! most of the water was only about 8 or son inches deep, but the G was bobbing up and down in it! (some of the water was at least 12" deep and worse especially in the area's where i didn't drive!!!!!)

All the roads home were just as bad ... the other drivers must love me, i drove on the drier shallower spot no matter where in the road i was driving or what traffic i was holding up! I was so pissed off if one of those (deleted) would have gotten in my way or said something to me i would have lost it!

1.) is the G ok??????
2.) any of you Fl people seen this storm today around 1:40 - 2:10pm today??

Peace

P.S. I am glad i never got the INGEN intake, that would have been disastorous!

Seems Mother Nature is real fickle this year.... lots of extremes to deal with. I guess your G handled the 8-12" of water ok without a snorkel, lol.
It's ok having the injen intake in that situation, you just have to remember to disconnect the thing b4 'wading'.

Re: The G can NOT swim!!!!!

The Nissan dealership where I get my fiance's Xterra serviced (and previously, my Altima) have told me several horror stories about Zs and high water on roads (I live in Louisiana).

I'd bring it in and have it checked out...if for nothing else, peace of mind.

Drive it like I stole it?
Hell...drive it like I'm making payments on it...

Re: The G can NOT swim!!!!!

I know how you feel I got caught in either that one or another, not sure. I was in Jersey just outside the Holland Tunnel leading onto route 1 & 9. I followed my mind and drove my commute car that day instead of my G. That little 93 Dodge made it through 4 flash floods as deep or deeper than what you mentioned. The 5th one was the monster and some new cars got stuck right in the middle with water above their door levels. It messed up my tranny so I could only get 1st gear and a speed no higher than 10 miles per hour. Thank God I found a service station and paid 80.00 bucks to purge my tranny. Its ok now but still some residual after effects. I
don't know what I would have done if I was driving my G. If you have the AT be sure water did not enter in through your dipstick opening.

Re: The G can NOT swim!!!!!

Time to get your priorities straight.

1. Your G35
2. God
3. Yourself
4. Significant Other
5. Other G35’s (Coupe first, then sedan)
6. Family
…….
1001. Meetings with people you don’t car about.

Re: The G can NOT swim!!!!!

Man, I'm so relieved. I live in Miami as well, but I went out on vacation. I am in New Jersey presently. Thank God I convinced my parents to let me garage the G. They wanted to put their cars in the garage instead. Lucky me. Good luck Eric.
