Stiff Ride - is it normal?
I have a 2005 G35 Coupe with the sport suspension as an option - everything is stock.
I live in New York City and as known, the roads are sub-par to say the least.
Whenever driving in my G, I feel literally everything on the road which is a good thing but at times it can feel like i'm driving a 40k buggy. Is this normal?

That's the nature of the beast with sports cars.
However, deflating your tire pressure a tiny bit might help with softening the ride a little. Or if you're ever planning on replacing tires, buy ones that are geared more towards comfort and less sport.

I dont think you will wear out your suspension for the amount of time you will probably have the car...and no it wont cause extra problems, otherwise they wouldnt have made it that way. But yes the suspension is stiff for a sports luxury coupe from 30-40k but compared to some other cars its not.

I can actually compare the ride quality of my G to my previous E46 Bimmer. Very sport-like, but civil. You can try an adjustable shock like the Tokico D-spec, which will soften up you ride quite a bit to the point of no feed back. I personally like to feel every little groove in the pavement through my steering wheel.
I love the feedback I get with this cars suspension, I just didn't get quite as much with my E46.
There are some roads that are so bad I refuse to use it because I fear it will hurt my G - instead I take a different, longer route to get where i'm going. Maybe i'm just too ****.

Grnted, lower pressures can give a better ride, and overinflation is a sure bet for feeling various pavement nuances.
However, in a place like NY or other pothole-happy areas... I would be careful about running lower-than-recommended pressures... you could pinch-flat a tire on the sidewall (unrepairable) AND bend a rim at the same time if you hit one of those potholes.
