lol jk ..i dont think its about speed ... gotta control your RPM's ... as long as you dont go anywhere close to redline for the first 1000 miles ...you should be fine..

yea just dont go crazy and red line it every stoplight. if you do it once and awhile on accident you will be fine. just not all the time.

We have a good engine

ahaah Thanks. Cuz i've been driving like 55mph on the Freeway and i feel like a slug and everyone passes by, even the old ladies. I get people starring at me or dog me cuz i am going so slow. I usually like to do 75-85 mph on the FReeway. The manual says something about keep it under 4000RPM.

+1, if you want your car to come out strong after its break-in, run it hard WHILE the break-in. Me and my friend performed a little survey at a local 350Z Dyno Day. My friend Josh redlined and ran his car hard since day 1. We asked many ppl there with stock Z's, if they had followed break in, 4 out of the 5 that we asked, said they did, and the 5th said he ran his car hard since he bought it, just like my friend Josh. Sure enough, my friend's Z dyno'd at 242RWHP and the 5th guy's car dyno'd in at 239RWHP. All the other stock boys that followed break in? Under 230, all of them.

I would make sure that you keep the RPMs as high as possible. This would insure a good break in. Hitting the rev limiter helps to keep the engine in check too.

I always thought "break in" means to wrap the car around a tree within the first 1000 miles. Thats always what I try to do anyways...

In my 16+ years of driving Japanese cars, I agree that you need to go hard from the get go to make a strong engine. Those ECU's know!

i didnt follow the "baby your car during break-in" rule... drive it hard, just try not to hit the limiter

I drove it normal from the beginning. I didnt baby it, but avoided the rev limiter of course.

Drive it like u stole it from the first day. Just approching high RPM make sure your car is warm and avoid hitting the rev limiter. Change the oil as soon as u can like at 1000 miles. Did that to my car it dynoes on dyna pack 262hp.

With our race engines, we have them redlined first shift, and every shift after that.
