No power for a day = G35 Fun
Re: No power for a day = G35 Fun
Joey, NY residents, and those without power,
First let me say my hat is off to all the New York City folks out there. You have been through hell and you're still keeping the rest of the country proud of you. In my humble opinion New Yord City is easily the greatest city in the world.
I live in the midwest, and fortunately missed the power outage. But I've experienced power outages and the SUCK! Best of luck to everyone affected. And Joey, SLOW DOWN!

The power outages have made great "human interest" stories for the news-- people predicting looting, rioting, evil coming out in the dark... and tada, nothing happens. Pretty cool. NY never fails to surprise me (sometimes a good thing, sometimes not )
I currently live in central Indiana, and luckily we're one of the states that produces not only its own power, but that of many of the states around it. We've never been affected by a grid problem (yet), but it's only a matter of time.
I was at King's Island in OH when it happened, and apparently it stopped just short of the park, so we were able to enjoy our day of some of the world's best roller coasters Cedar Point wasn't so lucky-- the only ride working was a gas-powered kiddy car ride, and they don't offer refunds. Yikes.

Aww you guys are so funny.. no I refuse to slow down, I will shimmy my way away from the cops. Anyway my thoughts on Indiana. Indiana is a messed up state. Half of the year it's on central time. The other half it's on eastern time. And there's a part that changes with central time. That is wack, can't you decide if you're central or east please!?
