Hey, I have tried to search a variety of strings, but was unsuccessful. My question is, is it ok to use a synthetic 5w 20 oil for the coupe? Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I know that the manual will tell me what I need, however, I am at work, and do not have a manual handy. If anyone could tell me if 5w20 synthetic is cool, I would really appreciate it, thanks in advance!

nissan recommends 5w-30... but u shouldn't have any problems using 5w-20. 5w-20 is just a little thinner... better for cold starts imo. what is your reason for switching?

Thank you very much. The reason? I accidentally bought it, and would take it back if it wasnt good, so honestly, no real reason, just convenience. Thank you again for your time!

Probably ok, but watch out for excessive consumption.
As Giddyup says, Nissan says 5W-30 so they won't like it, and if they knew, they would deny warranty. ........so be careful.

5w-30 is the correct oil; you got the wrong oil. Just take it back and put in the right stuff. Technically it will probably be ok, but your car will also probably be ok if you don’t change the oil for a year. Do you really want to risk ruining your engine with a voided warranty?
