Quick question...

Hey guys, some of you may already know me...I have an 04 350Z with the APS TT and a bunch of other work.

Anyway, I'm looking to ugprade my daily driver from a 94 Camry to an 03-04 G35C...not a bad upgrade ehh?

What I'm asking is if there were any issues in the 03-04 that I should be aware of? For example the 03 Z's had the feathering and tranny problems.

Note - I'm looking for an automatic.

Any help would be appreciated!

The only two things I can think of won't affect you in an auto-

1. Brembos are not covered by the warranty (on 6spd only)
2. Probs with the synchros in the 6MT somewhat common

I cant think of anything else worth mentioning, maybe someone with an auto can help more...

I might get a 6MT if the right deal comes along. Are the synchros covered under the factory warranty? Do you know if it's just 03?

Yes, I have a 04.5 6mt and my tranny was replaced under warrenty at 10k miles.. It ws the synchros, but instead of just replacing one part, they opted to replace everything.. I have no problems whatsoever with this car. Oil Changes every 3750 miles and the only other things I have replaced were tires at around 20k and Brembo Pads at 25k .. Very solid car...

Lol I think you have the "ehh" sound wrong. I don't mean it by like ehh - blah, I mean ehh - ayyy if that makes any sense

As long as all goes through, it looks like I got me an 04 6MT w/nav and brembo's:

Uh, is that your ginormous house behind the sweet Z?

I've got an 03 G35c Auto and have had no major problems with it.

Purchased it at ~33K miles and had all the routine maintenance done. Had to have the front brake pads changed at around 40,000 miles. Took it to the dealer at the same time to fix some minor warranty issues - clock light was burned out, wobbly driver's seat was replaced, and rear-seat lever was fixed. No engine problems. No funny rattles, clicks, squeaks, or thumps. No instance of the car failing to start or stalling.

Overall, it was an excellent buy! Just go to a reputable seller, ask about the warranty, and do the CarFax thing and you should be fine.

How much did you pay for the 04 G with nav, brembos, aero, premium, etc?

how many miles were on it when you got it, and was it a private or dealer sale?
