My last few cars have had an audible low fuel warning, and I've been spoiled by them. As near as I can tell, my new G35 doesn't (just a wimpy small orange light). Am I missing something?

 

The light is all you get bro, unless you have Navi. When fuel gets low, the navi screan goes red and beebs at you, and will find a gas station for you.

It beebs? I've never encountered my navigation system beebing at me. Is that dangerous?

Isn't there a way to wire something for an audio warning? I would want something like saying "Fuel Low" like in the F-22 jets. It's like a girl voice. I'll figure it out! [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]

Nothing without the Navi system, although mine has never beeped at me either.

Thanks for bringing this up. I think its my height (5'8") or the way I sit in the seat. But d*mn if I dont alway just make it to the gas station because I cant see that light through my steering wheel. Kinda nerve-racking.

I personally know when I am running low by reseting my trip odo. every tie I fill up. But the nav helps too.

 

Yes it beebs. It's the same beep that you get when you leave a door open/trunk open, or it's time for oil/filter, tire rotation.

man some posts are really wack! i mean come on! deal with it. its a damn beep vrs an on screen indicator. fill up every day to avoid this.

My navi doesn't beep about any of those warnings either. Just display on the screen.
