I was getting engine ping in 3rd under load today. This is a first. Bad gas? This engine should not ping in 3rd with premium. Anyone else have this happen and if so were you using premium? I could see ping in 4th or 5th at lower speeds but not 3rd. I was not crawling, ping was at about 25 mph or so.

not bad gas cause too early for that. loose piston my guess

pinging is probably a coil... and yes, gas will do it as well.. change stations..
