You will be fine, probably got shook up a bit. You were actually in the safest place when lightning striked.

I was told I took a direct hit once while I was sitting at a red light at New York Avenue right across from the parking lot of Days Inn in Washington D.C. during a summer thunder storm about 10 years ago. All I saw was a flash and heard a loud boom. I knew the strike was pretty close but NOT that close. Other drivers pulled up at the next light and asked if I was OK. I was wondering at first why they asked and then they told me the lightning hit my car while I was at the last red light. I still don't believe it because I think it would at least leave some kind of tell tale sign on my car that a lightning bolt had striked.

If I were you I would go see the doctor. Just to be 100% sure. Good luck! Keep well!

Right now I am shaking while i write this. I was just on the 405 in Washington coming home. I was driving and all the sudden there was a huge bright flash and I got the wierdest feeling in the world. I blacked out for about 10 seconds and when I came back into it I was an exit down and my jaw was dropped. I kept driving having no idea what happened but couoldnt even move my head. It was freaky and I thought I was abducted by aliens or something. I know it sounds dumb but trust me it was scary.

I got home and got out of my car and just stared up for like 5 mintues. Then there was lightning and i went inside. Im pretty sure this all has something to do wiht the lighting, but its pretty intense.
Sorry for random post
quick go buy a loto ticket and if lighting did you good, we could be talkign to a millionaire.

If you tell a doctor that you're blacking out behind the wheel, by law, you'd have to be reported to the DMV.....

Hey I was in my apaertment next to UW, when this happened. I think lightening stirked about 3 times. I thought it was the spark from the but line(the bus has this metal that hangs on to wire above. and sometime, it sparks), but in like 6 second, the thuder sound was hurting my ear.
Good thing I wasn't out side driving..hehe
Go seattle~

ya, it was some pretty intense thunder, but nothing like lightning hitting on or near my car like that!
