how much does our stock parts cost? I don't think those prices sound too high.

I wish they gave weight figures and a comparison to stock.

Re: Carbon Fiber Hood, Trunk and Fenders

I would be curious to see the weight difference between the CF hood and our aluminum hood. On my 3rd Gen RX-7 the CF hoods didn't save any weight, they were just cool. The stock aluminum hoods are quite light. I am pretty sure the G also has an aluminum hood, so I suspect the same, or similar will hold true.

The RX has left the building, I have been driving the G for about 6 weeks!!!!

I guess you are right OvaYahead, those prices are not that high. Just that my first thought was for that kind of green, you can get way better mods that will improve the overall performance. Yea interesting how much lighter than stock it will be.

yeah, i doubt the CF parts will save any weight.

on the z32 a CF hood actually weighs a pound or two more than the Al hood.

Only thing that would be nice about a CF hood is no F'in paint chips. But I couldn't see it looking that great without other exterior mods to complement it.

Re: Carbon Fiber Hood, Trunk and Fenders

I would want the hood but I would want it painted black. The carbon fiber look does not strike me. Besides, I have a black G and it would look out of place. I would do it strictly for weight reduction.

Thanks - Joey Avino
