18 Front and 19 Rear

has anyone staggered their wheels this way, i know a lot of higher performance cars are like this and i was wondering if there was an advantage besides looks ( even 19 front and 20 rear)

I've seen this on a few cars at some shows and it looks great. Personally I think the 18/19 set up would be best on the G. I don't see any reason that performance would be hurt, but if you find differently please let us know.

i think people that want there odometors to rear right it would be an issue for them, but i dont see why its a bad idea, i saw this setup on an MR2 it looked nice.

It was highly advised that I NOT do that by several wheel shops. I forgot exactly why. I was told that is has negative effects on performance on most cars.

prob wouldnt work out to well........have a negative impact on the car either in performance or something else........ive seen it on porsche's though

Chevrolet does it on their Corvettes. As far as I remember, previous Vettes came with 17s in front and 18s in back, and the newest ones with 18s and 19s. As for advantages and disadvantages go.... not sure, but the bigger, wider tire usually gives better performance. And the smaller in the front keeps the weight to a minimum.

The new Z in the track model comes with 19' on rear and 18' on the front.


What matters most is that you compensate the offset with propper tire diameters.
