hey everyone, i had my car parked at beverly center in los angeles and when i came back i had a nice key mark going from the front left bumper all the way across the the back left bumper. its a nice deep [censored] scratch. im sooo pissed off you dont even know. my question is if i should deal with this through my insurance or will it come out cheaper to do it out of my pocket. keep in mind the scratch goes across the entire car. thanks in advance
Re: keyed
It's a sick world we live in. I hope those a$$$$$$$ get caught once, and get something shoved up their a$$. I am not sure if insurance will even cover it. If they do, you have to figure out if the deductable is more than what you would pay to repair it yourself. Sorry to hear about your dillema, and I hope it works out well for ya.

Find a good body shop and get a quote. Compare it to your deductible, and also check with your insurance company to see how many comprehensive claims it takes to start affecting your premiums.

Re: keyed
i feel ur pain... some **** keyed every single body panel of my car... i would go w/ the insurance... make a police report 1st thats what i did... i paid my deductible which was $500... n the insurance paid the rest... i think the total was around $3200.... find a really good body shop...
