remove tint & re-install

I am not happy with the tint job my guy did on my G. I have allot of dust particles in it. I am going to bring it back this spring and complain. If he is a ***** and does not correct the issue. I was wondering how much it would cost to remove and re-tint the back window. I hope he will fix it rather then copping out especially since he did (5) if my prior cars.

Thanks Guys,

its ok to re tint it, but the back window might not be a good idea, becasu you could mess up the rear defroster.

to retint the rear window the tinter should have a special solution that shoudl not break or rip the defroster lines so make sure they do it correctly not with a razor. i used to be a professional window tinter so i know all the concepts. show them the dust particles and/or air bubbles and you should have a warranty on them anyways. i hope that helps. any issues let me know i'll try to help you out

Average about $50 to remove. Since you're going back to the same dealer, they might do it for free but charge you labor

they use a steam machine to loosen the glue...no chemicals, then clean the glass and reprep to tint...my friend's shop charges for large glass 25 to remove and whatever to retint depending on film, usually 100 bucks gets it done
