6MT clutch engadgement adjustment!
OK don't flame me, I've been on the forums for a while and I've never seen any reference to this article - It's dated back in 03. I've always hated the engagement point in my coupe's clutch, today I was pointed to this article explaining how to adjust it. I figure it's worth posting incase other people like me have skipped over it.

It took me about 30 min (15 min fine tuning) to complete. Between this and my newly installed 06 projector housings I feel like I'm driving a whole new car!

mm it has been brought up on this board and my350 a couple times.
i have done this adjustment and like many others have and there are a couple problems with this.
1. a lot of people report that after driving for a bit, the clutch engagement point seems to slowly creep back towards its original point.
2. it is debated that this would cause premature wear on the clutch.
i took my ride to street image and they moved it back claiming that the clutch was no longer fully engaging. they moved it back.
overall, i think a lot of us hate the engagement point of the clutch, but its really up to the individual when it comes to risking premature wear. I will be installing a jwt clutch with the stock flywheel in the near future (i dont want to deal with the rattle that a lightened flywheel has)

I dont see any solid proof that this would cause premature wear on the clutch... If i disengage the clutch while in gear at a stop, the car will stall... If it was only slightly disengaged the car would simply roll and spudder...
there shouldnt be any free play towards the top... make sure you re-tighten all the bolts you loosened once you did the adjustment, also, make sure to readjust your cruise control bolt, which is most likely what is causing your free play problems. see if your cruise control still works, if it doesn't than your CC bold will need to be readjusted.
