What is F1?

I think lower gears would help also - that would multiply your torque down low, although depending on how long you race the guy, the higher the speed, the higher your rpm will go...

Not F1 it's FI, short for forced induction (supercharger or turbo).

 

Personally, I'm pretty positive most people and most G's won't make 0-60 in 5.5 secs. I've owned a lot of sports cars and this car feels sluggish in comparison. I'd say 0-60 in 6.0 secs is about right. Which is what most people and magazines have gotten. Regardless of that the G35C is a low 14 sec car. Late model Trans Am's are a mid to low 13 sec. car. They can pull 106-108mph through the traps. Sorry but a G35C isn't going to hang on the top end. I bet it was a Firebird you raced and not a Trans Am.

Don't get me wrong I love my G but I love it for what it is. A sporty, classy, sex mobile with luxury refinements. I don't mistake it for a race car which it is not. You can't even heel toe in this damn thing cuz the pedal placement is horrible. It's very difficult in the least.

And I too agree on leaving the stick in Auto mode for quickest times.
Lower rear gears would definitely help, but what's available now for the G's

If speed is your thing, hook up your G. Get a supercharger or NOS or whatever it takes. But mods also have their downfalls meaning they can cause alot of problems. I like speed but I like the ladies more so I would rather drive my G and impress the mommies then have it sitting in the shop.

The G35C is not that fast. Its a fast enough sport luxury car.The 911 I had was much and I mean much faster. There are lots of cars that will smoke our G. I still like my G for now!

 

me too ,my old 300zxtt can run with any v8 any day but i'm getting older now and i pay too much money for my g so i just enjoy the ride.
