I would say with great certainty: Once you mod your suspension, you're pretty much on your own when it comes to drifting/pulling. It's hard out there for a pimp!!!

I have the same problem on an '06. Any of you able to get the problem fixed? I'm taking mine in tomorrow. I've only had the car for a week!

If you've only had the car a week, then you should have no prob, if the car is unmodded. I took mine in after a couple weeks and complained of bad balance in the tires; sure enough when they pulled them, all four were off, and the one I thought was really wonky was indeed, way off. The dealer took care of it without a blink.

Important to arrive with your ducks in a row, however. What have you done to troubleshoot thus far? Have the pressures been checked? One would look like a real dolt if the mechanic just adds two PSI to the right tires and the prob is fixed. Have you driven on a variety of roads, road types, and surfaces, windy days, calm, north south east west? (multi-lane highways; concrete roads each need a bit more camber to drain water, than ashphalt) My car always pushes to the right when I have a 30 knot cross wind coming from the left. It would be good to be able to say that you have checked some of this stuff, as well as the fact that you notice it at some speeds, or all speeds.

I apologise if all this sounds like sucking eggs, but I can assure you that the first impression you leave with your service manager is as important as the first impression he/she leaves with you. I've seen some folks get really pissed at the dealership, but overhearing the stories, some of their stuff is just downright amusing, and I really feel for the dealer in doing their best to appease these folks.

Cheers,
D

You sound like you work for a dealership.
Thanks for the info. I have driven on various types of roads and I did check my tire pressure (only after I read your post, thanks). I just dropped it off at the dealership so I guess I'll let ya know how it goes.

I think the important thing is to demonstrate that the sway was correctly installed. You may still end up paying for the alignment, tough to say. Finding a road here with a less than 1% crown would be a feat.

Well I just got my car back from the dealership. They said that the alignment was off a bit and corrected it. Car drives perfect now.

By the way, the service guy said that its not uncommon for new coupes to have a tendency to pull or drift. That's why Infiniti will fix alignment issues for free (one time) within the first 12k miles. Which I just found out.

i have an 03 coupe 6spd, and yes, it pulls to the right (complete lane change in under 7 secs) so i got the compression rod changed n all that and they gave me a free alignment, yay! HOWEVER, my sh*t still pulls.... wtf?? BUUUUUUUUT, instead of 7 secs, it'll do a complete change in like 8 or 9. wtf man, that is basically the saaaaaame **** to me, and the dealer wont do nothin bout it no mo, cuz they sed its more than 7 seconds. piece of shiet eats up my tires like they're free. WAT CAN I DO GUYS????? im thinking bout modding the shiet out of my car after warranty (soon). and plannin to start with gettin new wheels, lower, complete new suspension (teins?). and that bad alignment reaallly annoys the shiet out of me, so what kinda of set up would eventually "FIX" my problem here? i want to be able to have a lowered ride with perfect alignment so it wont eat up my tires that quickly. THANKS
