I had fuel lines leaking on an old ford I had. Those were very bad since they were the high pressure lines that ran from the gas tank to the engine.

This problem is not really that dangerous... Ignition while filling a gas tank is already a risk, even when its working, particularly since people often spill gas and etc.

My guess is they did some sort of a stress test and it failed.. Maybe even doing something as simple as rough use of the pump.

I went in for my 30K mile service and they brought it to my attention and said
they automatically do the recall.
Fine with me. Everything seemed OK when I got the car back.

If you have aftermarket wheels or exhaust, all that has to come off in the rear. So you have to ask yourself whether you trust your dealership in not scuffing your rims and putting back your exhaust correctly. 9 out of 10, i would say most of us will probably have some issues with noise, parts loose and we would probably end up either trying to fix it ourselves or going back to the dealer.

I had a apointement this week... I actually call the dealler to say I would not be there...I would be out of town that day.

That was not true....I am just scared as hell, I decided to wait. I plan on doing a BIG road trip in a few weeks, I seriously dont want them to mess anything on the car.

Maybe at the end of summer I will do it...

I brought in my 03 for a bad starter and they told me that they were going to service the recall while I was there. I took about 3 hrs w/ the fuel hoses and starter. No problems here. Yet.
