uh.. good for you.....

There is warning here !!! it is very addicting, it's like eating Pringles once you pop you can't stop!!! then you're wife will start to notice that you're looking younger every day coz you'll be smiling often, it's like getting a facial every day. Do it!!!!!
Sure, thanks for the head up!

Yeah I'm sick of all this "Oh no I actually used the entire rev range of my engine! It's probably ruined"

these things aren't made of paper mache, folks. it's a sports car. I'll quote someone else (sorry don't remember the name):

"the day i stop enjoying every last HP is the day I trade it for a Prius"

dont want to keep adding fuel to the fire but i redline prob 75% of the time - no joke. i've had over 10 cars and have driven all the same way - with no probs. for most of them, the rev limiter is WAY beyond the 'red line'. surprised that so many ppl dont redline a car like this yet everyone talks about increasing hp, etc - take a look at the dynos! as long as you don't sustain it for a long time, IT'S FINE.

your engine is FINE dude.

i'm still breaking in my g - does anyone know when the rev limiter kicks in?

But seriously, enjoy what you pay for but do it responsibly..don't take corners as if you are on an Enzo..(or don't take corners like the Megan test driver.. )

Wow, I guess the G driver demographic is pretty different from the types of cars I have experience with! . Honestly , the engineers that developed this engine are full aware of what its capable of. It was designed with a 7000ish RPM redline, this means that its perfectly safe to take it to this engine speed. If it was detrimental to the life of the engine, dont you think that those engineers would have set the rev limited and redline lower? Of course they would!

Relax, put the pedal to the floor, and enjoy your car by doing what it was intended for!

Yeah bro, i think it's about 7200 RPM, i've hit my rev limiter a couple times in first gear not paying attention.
