Got my G35 6-spd last night

Hey guys. I've been lurking on this forum for a few weeks, gathering information from you guys about this car. I picked up my 03' Diamond Graphite 6-spd with premium and XM last night. I was initially looking at a Twilight Blue 6-spd at a different dealer, but they were throwing in a "protection plan" that was already on the car. For $1400 they threw in a sunroof visor, paint protection, and wheel locks. What a ripoff. Whoever is considering buying from Rosenthal Infiniti watch out for this. It's not included on the MSRP. Anyway, I traded in my IS300 for this car, and before the IS300, I had a 93 Supra TT that was lightly modified. Although not as quick as a stock Supra TT, this car drives even better, is much easier on the eyes, and is much more comfortable. I got a good deal on trade-in for my IS, and paid less(not considerably less) than the MSRP on the G35. What a great car!

Yea, welcome and congrats. Owning a G makes you feel good. I know I made the right. It's such and exotic looking car at a very affordable price. I intend to only modify mine with
whatever flows with the lines and angles of the car. If it doesn't look like it fits then it won't. So again welcome.

Re: Got my G35 6-spd last night

I got my 04 Red 6MT (everything but NAV) last night too. Sales throw in the wheel locks and key chain. The ride is very good, though marginally not as refined as the Bimmer 330ci. But everything else is as good or better than the bimmer and the engine feels more powerful as well.

The Infiniti sales is excellent and he is assisting me to find tinting and custom clearbra installations.

Re: Got my G35 6-spd last night

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. The lurking was mainly to see the general impression this car was receiving, what kind of prices people were getting at the dealer, and to see what mods can be done to the car. I'm so glad I got this 6spd, I was actually considering a base coupe with cloth because of the savings in $$$. The 6spd is worth every penny IMHO. I'll be happy after I break this bad boy in, then I'll be ready for some serious driving.

Re: Got my G35 6-spd last night

Cloxo,
I went with Nationwide Infiniti all the way out in Timonium, Md. Near Towson. I live in Alexandria. Only place that had the Diamond Graphite 6spd in stock. Ask for Les if you go there. Also, these are the guys that I talked with at other dealers in the area, most were pretty receptive:

Andy Escobar @ Passport Infiniti(Alexandria)
Paul Phelan @ Rosenthal Infiniti (Tysons)
John Muller @ the Bethesda Infiniti

Good luck!

I figure I bought the '04 Twilight you passed up at Rosenthal Friday. I love it. Glad you found a different one! Worked with George there. Good experience from my end.

Re: Got my G35 6-spd last night

Yeah, that was it. I went early in the afternoon, ~3pm. They said around 7-8 people had called about that particular car and were coming to see it that afternoon. I figured that car would not last long. Glad to hear that you picked it up! Maybe we can meet up some time with other G owners in the area!
