service at dealership?

hey guys has anyone done any other work at a nissan dealership for the G? i know my local nissan dealership will do oil changes for the G..but how much more will or can they do? can we bring our cars to nissan for the 36k tune up? or is that something that should be left alone to the infiniti stealership? how trained are the nissan techs with our cars? what have all of you guys done? I mean a car is a car right?

you dont need a tuneup after only 36,000 miles.plugs will last at least 65000 miles.

Service is pretty basic stuff and can be done anywhere (including at home) but make sure they've got the genuine parts and fluids for your ride.

Nissan service where I am will do anything for my Infinitis except warranty work, which Nissan won't pay them for, and Nissan service is cheaper than Infiniti's.

Everyone looks for a solid price and list for the 30k service. Read the 100's of posts about it. The reality is nearly EVERY dealership (nissan or Infiniti) has a different idea of what 30k service is and the price varies accordingly. ($300 to $800) Read some posts about what other people have done and then ask a few dealerships what they think needs to be done and how much they would charge.

Most Nissan dealers can service Infiniti's but it doesn't mean they will. All technicians are ASE certified and knows the basics of every car but think of it like this...Nissan techs knows 350z 100%, G35 80%. Who would you rather have working on your car?

This is the maintanence schedule for 30k miles. If nothing seems to difficult, take it to Nissan and save a coupe of bucks. I probably wouldn't take it to Nissan for 100k mile service.

I'm debating on doing the 30k service or not... but if I take it to Nissan does that mean I don't get a loaner?

Infiniti wants around 700 for the tune up.. ughh.. not worth it.
