This thread - BIG WASTE OF TIME!!! I've been doing business with Discount Tire for years. I've locked myself into a Manager who I have followed from store to store (He's been in three stores over the last 8 years). He has always gone out of his way to match TireRack prices, and to please me. I can't say enough good things about them. As with any business, you must build a relationship to get the most out of it.

+1. Once you got a good relationship, you won't believe how reasonable and generous these guys can be (this doesn't only apply to tire places, also to the service dept at dealerships).

...but on the other hand, personalities and agendas may differ from one individual to the next. But in the end, the real customer-oriented people come thru like in Lowrider's case. It is ALL about the relationship you develop.

I think Discount Tire is a great place.. And I will continue to buy tires from them.. Im was just unhappy with the noob saleman that sold me tires and rims not specc'ed for my car.

The manager refunded my money and my G35 is back on her OEMs..

Its not all thier fault.. This is my first luxury sport car.. and I chalk my mistake as a rookie mistake not doing my homework before walking into DT

For those that offer sound advice or construtive critism .. thanks!

For those that came to flame or wasted our times.. hope theres a big fat nail waitin for you under your car.
