I have these on my coupe on both sides by the back wheels. Came from the dealer this way. Is this just part of the "packing" of the vehicle during shipment or is something that i should keep on for a while lol.

No, don't take them off. They are supposed to be there because that area is proned to get paint chips. Keep them on! Congratz on the new car.

Nope its diamond graphite ! So i keep these on ...forever? if and when they wear down or peel off will the dealer replace them? So everyone has these on their cars still? I mean i dont mind it since you can bearly see it but i imagine after time it wont look the same... right?

Yes. Keep them on. They protect the area from rock chips, etc. They can be replaced by your dealer. You could also just buy the part from your dealer and do it yourself.

Do not take them off, they are called a chipguard and they are about 30 dollars a piece to replace. They were put there by the factory for a purpose!!

LOL ok ok! Im keeping them on already! Kinda strange though that they are there right? I dont recall seeing these on other cars (non G35s)..not that im complaining if it will protect the panels back there just wonder why its not more common practice if not atleast on higher end cars?

I have a black car, so when I saw it after my first wash/wax I removed it. So far after 1 yr and 5 mo, it is fine. The front bumper however is whacked by millions of tiny chips!
