VDC Not turning off

Howdy All,
I push the button to turn off my VDC - and my Skyline will light up both rears - 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the wet. But as soon as I get the thing sideways, with the little VDC OFF light glowing brightly - on comes the VDC.
My car is an '03 350GT Skyline 5AT.
Just wondering what I can do to turn it off altogether.

I read somewhere on here that there's some wires you can disconnect to fully disable the VDC... but then it'll be quite a dick to connect/disconnect each time you want to turn off.

My VDC definitely turns off and stays off when I turn it off. I've done 180s, doughnuts, 90 degree power slides/drifts by just turning off the VDC via the provided button.

So.... I'm not sure what you are experiencing. I do have a 2006 but I don't think this is something they have changed.

Is it possible you hit the brakes? VDC is always on if you are applying any brake or pressing the clutch at all.

I'm not sure if the slip light comes on or anything.. but VDC is definitely not doing anything to help me out if I'm not on the brakes.. I promise and some of my friends could vouch for that after riding along on a power slide that rotated a wee bit much (safe area but still scary).... I turned the wheel opposite lock 100% (smashed against the stopper) before it caught the rear... yikes! but fun

There's a few threads about it.. You just pull a fuse; the only problem is it kills the anti-lock brakes also. Why are you putting the car sideways?

VDC not turning off is a sign from above that you should stop endangering other drivers with your inexperienced RWD skills.

He never said he was doing it on the street. Hopefully if he's trying to do crazy things with his car and learn its limitations, it's being done in an empty parking.

Hm, never had VDC kick in when it wasn't supposed to. I get sideways pretty regulary and it doesn't bother me. I have an '06 too. I don't know what all this talk is about our cars kicking out too easily and being hard to control or unpredictable, to me, this car is sooooo smooth when the rear end gets loose. Then again, I grew up driving in the snow and I guess we all have different backgrounds.
