1st gear issue.

So I'm still new and getting use to my '06 6MT with only 750 miles, but I've noticed something and wanna ask you professionals here. I notice that everytime I start in 1st gear from a stand still, the engine trembles a bit and I can feel it through the shifter. Is it just me not used to the car yet and the desengagement point of the clutch, or can something be up? Thanks guys for your replies in advance.

Yeah, that's what I'm trying to do to adjust, but I still don't feel the quick acceleration that I would expect. I hope it's just me not being use to my lovely new car and that that will improve

I'm no expert..but I think your car is still breaking in...after a few thousand miles it should hopefully get a little smoother.

Try releasing your clutch just a little bit slower, and I would expect that the tremble will go away. Let us know how you make out.

Thanks MikeyMike and Fast1... I will try that and do hope that after a few thousand miles it rides smoother. By the way, just to confirm, the break in period is considered to be about 1500 miles keeping the RPM's below 4,000 right? What about speed? Thanks!

If you want to go by the "Factory Break-in Procedure"

Don't go above 4k rpm's...and constantly vary your speed.

Oh, and if you want to change your oil at 1500 miles, it's not a bad idea either. If you run a search on "Break In" a lot of threads should come up.
