i think the "lag" you may be feeling is because the car first has to downshift to pull harder. i have an 03 5AT and im sure i know what you're talking about. not a car guru, but i guess the way to fix the "lag" may be to (and guys correct me all u want, cuz like i said, im not a car guru) upgrade the valve body of the transmission like stillen has here: http://www.stillen.com/product_detail.aspx?sku=453335

i think that may be the best way to remove the "lag",, just my 2 cents

so it looks like i can reset the ecu by myself..when i reset it will it mess/damage anything?

No it doesn't mess anything up at all, you just have to re-set your radio controls afterwards... And remember to roll the windows down a bit before you disconect the neg battery terminal so they don't rub when you open and close the doors.

Question about the ECU reset. How often do you guys do it? And just what are you gaining by doing it?
