I have some small problem from the G

:Sunroof and rear area cracking
:mirror cracking
:shift area cracking
river-side window doesnt go down as much as the other side when I open the door.

anyone else has the same problem ..
any way to fix it ?

Can you take pics? That is nuts if i'm pictureing it properly. Not huge gaping cracks, but even wrinkles!

sounds cracking while i am driving..

 

If by cracking you mean a noise or rattle I have one from the sunroof when it is open at least. none of the others. And since I had the grease streak fixed I have the same problem with the drivers side door.

 

Rear shelf rattle is known and there is a TSB fix (and it works!)..

I also have the sun roof rattle when it is open - so far Dealer has only lubed it, which did nothing.

Take your car in to the Dealer and demonstrate the noises the best you can.

 

i heard someone changed the new style mirror in the car .. is it to upgrade from dealer ?

before i even had the grease streak TSB my driverside window started doing that. the dealer replaced the accumilator and motor and it corrected it. well on friday last week i had to get my car looked at for a ratchet sound coming from the right rear side of the car (loose hub nut). while my car was there i had them do the grease streak fix. i pick up my car and to my suprise the widow barely goes down. it is in the shop again getting repaired! our windows suck, i love my car but the power window design is horrible. i know people that have BMW's that our way older than my coupe and their windows our nice and smoth and go down when you open the doors like they are supposed to.

oh and the best thing is the service guy told me that it is normal that as long as they go down a little so when you close the door they don't hit the frame. yeah too bad abouut three more times of me closing the door it would of scratched up my door frame or broke the window!

 

Yeah I have the same problem of "cracking" noise on the sunroof and in the back of the car. The sunroof only does the noise then it's open. The other cracking noise is when I drive it over speed bumps at low speed, or rolling slowly through a dip. I told the service manager during my oil change. Said it was the body frame "flexing" causing the car to "creek." Told him to fix it. He told me he tightened the suspension bolts....still the car "creeks."

 

Did you ever resolve the cracking noise? I seem to have the same problem, in the right rear area. I performed the rear deck rattle TSB, and the rear deck does not rattle, but there remains a cracking noise that comes from the rearright of the interior, but I am having trouble locating and pinpointing it. Anyone?

 

I know exactly what you guys are talking about with the "cracking" noise. It kinda sounds like you're flexing the metal top to a glass jar and it's making that popping sound when it pops up and down. I was guessing it had something to do with body flex cause it does it when I'm pulling into the parking lot of my apartment (which is a big uphill slope). I'm gonna mention it to my dealer when I take it in for service next time I'm home.
