Angry This is a new problem.

So im driving, bose stereo is on. Not full blast in like 19's or 20's and suddenly the volume gets lower. I look at the display and it says 20. My guess is one of the speakers went. I don't understand how though i never blast it the highest i go is 22 with the windows open. It's definately one of the speakers on the driver side. All the bass is still their jus i guess the tweeters or something broke. Do you think this would be under warrenty, has this happened to anyone else....I have an 04 with 30,100 miles on it. Whats funny is i jus got it back from 30K service im starting to feel like my car was sabatauged-if thats how you spell it

check the SSV on the stereo, (i think its after bass) if its on high, then thats y once u hit certain speed it cranks up the volume and once u get below that speed it lowers the volume to normal. Might be it dunno, i thought the same and noticed after awhile to be that. But you say your car has 30k miles on it so u must have figured that out by now.

I have the same question, is that under warranty?

Could be a speaker cutting out. Common problem and the dealer usually replaces the deck!

nahhh its not that, even when im not moving its jus not as loud as it used to be, I know bose is good quality because i had it in my altima and the stereo never had a problem, it's surprising to me.

+1 When you accelerate in excess of +/- 35mph, does the volumn get higher on it own and lowers as you come to a stop?

how about yesterday I am driving down the highway and stereo is on about 15 and then the whole thing shuts off... hmmm so then I start pushing various buttons and nothing works air, stereo, nothing. I imediatly call the dealership and talk to the service manager.. for info I own a 06' coupe premium and sport package w/ now only 1500 miles. They said this isnt the first time they have heard about this and dont know how to rectify the problem.......

I also have an '04, and I noticed it few months back. It's the driver side speakers shutting off. For me it only happens on burned CDs, when I put radio or SAT it works fine. Dealer said the same thing after testing it, that after putting in an original CD the speakers work fine. They offered to replace the head unit just to satisfy me, but I haven't been noticing it that anymore. Good luck with whatever you decide, and switch to radio next time this happens, to see if it's only while listening to CDs.

Same thing happened to me... ONLY CD's were affected on the Driver's side door. SAT/FM all were unaffected...

It's a defective unit and take it to the dealer to get the head unit replaced... it's under warranty.

See if this works? Turn off the SSV on the radio. Hit the audio button until you see it. There are 4 settings. High, med, low and off.

The CD player on the upgraded "Blose sound system" is really a Clarion, not a Bose. Just FYI
