if youre using a .45, you should REALLY look at Cor-Bon ammo, go for the 185 gr. the best proven ammo on the civilian market.

You guys are lucky here in chicago they have banned hand guns. But that doesnt mean I will be ignorant and listen to them. They wont pay for my ride if I get jacked...

From the law enforcement side, what's the purpose of having your firearm exposed like that? Actually what's the purpose of having a firearm in your vehicle PERIOD? If you have a ccw permit, that's fine. But to "protect" yourself in the case of a carjacking is a pretty lame reason cuz that's like a slim to none chance of happening. Don't pretend to be the undercover police because that typically ends up in accidental shootings. Word of advice to those who decide to conceal a firearm in the vehicle: Make sure your G35 is barebone stock (no tint, no blue side markers, have your front plate on, etc...). We only need a simple reason to pull you over and when we find a firearm in your ryde, kiss that baby goodbye cuz it's going to the impound lot and you'll be going infront of the judge.

You carry a gun to protect your 30k liability. I thought the reason for insurance is for exactly that reason. Wow, I wonder what your choice of weapon will be if you are driving a 100k liability. You are willing to risk life imprisonment to protect a car? Not me, they can have my car. I can always buy another car, not another life.

I am not sure what the hell you are talking about. In Louisiana it is legal to carry a firearm in your vehicle, it is considered an extension of your home.

so you dont carry a gun while on the job or off? FYI, i HAVE a cw permit. i am responsible enough to know my local laws, and i abide by them. so id appreciate it if you wouldnt talk down to me. after all, ive probably had my a$$ on the line a few more times than you. so youll have to forgive me if i dont depend on the police to protect me.

It is also legal to drink alcohol and I CHOOSE not to.
