Here is a pic of the fog lamp kit offered as an option in Japan

And here's a pic I tried to Photoshop to see what they would look like if the inserts were body color painted. I couldn't quite get it right though.

Is it possible to get these? They look pretty sweet.

Anyone know why those didn't make it here? Seems they would go a long way toward solving the poor light coverage people are complaining about in the stock HIDs.

that link is for the Impul kit which you need the Impul front spoiler... I don't think it comes with the front bumper... but you can get the JDM spec fogs from www.japanparts.com but they're like $1500... a bit pricey... and IMO they don't look that great to warrant spending that much...

I agree, the looks aren't that great... the inserts are black and cover much of the lower grills... that's why I tried Photoshop to see what they would look like if they were painted the same color as the car... I think same color paint would make them look decent.

Looks are one thing, but function is another. We can get some heavy snow sometimes where I live and HID fogs would really cut through that. Plus, they are HID and you can't expect to get them for cheap. For example, the PIAA Turbojector HID's are ~1200 bucks.

Even if someone were to spend $1500 on those fogs, how would they install them? As far as I know, those lower front grilles don't come out.
