Uheenada,

Some would beg to differ on your definition of race cars....

Re: G35 vs EVO

I've seen a couple stock ones run at the track, and i wasn't too impressed. They were running low 14's. Aren't they suppose to run low 13's??

Yes i know that driver skill means alot too though.

Actually one ran against a 350z that ran 13.9 i think.

Re: G35 vs EVO

yes the evo is a rally car.. so why bother wit it at the drags when its built for the twisties. the car is solid. it is bitchin and will tear a G apart no doubt. but the g is obviously in a total other league. luxosport vs. rally beast

Technicly rally cars dont have to be awd. The Lexus rally car first was rwd then made it to a awd setup. The Sentra Vspec rally car is a rwd with fwd slip that works like awd. The Neon SRT-4 is a fwd rally car.

Re: G35 vs EVO

very true but most likely rally cars will be AWD...
i doubt sentra Vspec rally and neon SRT-4 ever win in WRC(i really don't know about WRC and i don't know that either cars are in that leage) that's why EVo and STi are always win which best AWD cars...

Re: G35 vs EVO

Im a BIG evo fan my self, but i am looking for lux/performance. The evo realy does 13.1 to 13.3 stock in the 1/4 with a good AWD driver, 0 - 60 is more around 4.9
There is no car in the us that can hang with the evos handling, the STi understeers. I have a top gear vid that they test both rides on a track. The evo gets second best time on that track which the #1 best time was a zonda, and the Sti got 5th best time. Evo got a better time than the lambo murcielago. I asked this question to see if you guys can even keep up in the srt8's because im going to be buying a new car in afew months. SO far its EVO vs G35 for me but there both neck and neck. Also im only 17 and i cant realy pay anything over 600 a month, no my parents arent helping me, i work hard for what i want. And i can get an evo at invoice which is 26,891 almost 10gs less than the G35 6speed with navi

Re: G35 vs EVO

Evo at Invoice? How do you swing that?

I think the Evo's a good choice if you intend on taking it to the track and doing some real autocrossing. Although keep in mind on top of being 17, if you ever get it damaged on the track and your insurance company finds out it was at a track, your insurance bills will be astronomical.

The great thing about the G is how perfectly it strikes a balance between sport and luxury - it's fun and edgy while being comfortable and composed.

Re: G35 vs EVO

My final say on this comparison is this...Which car do you want to be seen stepping out of?

Precisely.

If your answer was the EVO than I'd hate to see your taste in fashion. 'Nuff said.

Re: G35 vs EVO

I dont think Canadian Idol is "jealous," just stating his opinion that he would rather be seen stepping out of a G rather than an EVO. That's what he likes, to be seen stepping out of luxury rather than sportiness. I am the same way, but by the same token, do not take anything away from EVO drivers. I'm sure they feel just as great stepping out of their cars. Basically, if you love what you're driving, you're gonna love stepping out of your car, whether its a Ferrari or Pinto. Every person has their own preferences, and I doubt that an online forum is going to convince and EVO driver to ditch them and go for the G and vice versa.

Re: G35 vs EVO

Yah iChiButt Andretti - I can't drive. You are so smart to figure it out - and I am just jealous that I can't own an EVO. I'm also jealous I'm not a freakin' loser too. Somehow - I own a G35 but I simply can't afford an EVO...weird ain't it? Was "A Brilliant Mind" based on your mathematics genius?

Since when did you become moderator of this Forum? Those were my opinions and I think I'm entitled to them - unless this all of a sudden became the Gestapo. I never claimed to care about which car was a faster vehicle. If you actually look at what I wrote - I'm saying that it's pretty lame to have that attitude. In my opinion, the car itself(not the driver, Mr. Lack-of-Deduction)conveys that to me - am I at least "allowed" to feel that way your highness? Sheesh. I was saying the G35 is different in that it speaks to me in another fashion. Being that this IS a G35 driver forum - you'd think I'd be able to speak highly of the G here. Now if I was a member of the EVO forums, like yourself, I may sing a different tune. Still not sure why you feel so personally attacked from what I wrote - but there was probably a way you could have voiced your displeasure without "stereotyping" a fellow forum member and calling names.

And c'mon man, if the ultimate goal was to win a race every time wouldn't someone just get an APRILIA RSV 1000 R or something? By that accord - if I wanted to win a debate everytime - I'd choose you as my sparring partner.

and as for what u said bout just buyin the car for racing and should just go out and buy "an APRILIA RSV 1000 R" lol yes, so u wanna see bunchof those super cars drivin on the road? haha listen boy, people buy cars for different reasons, smoe for luxery, some for looks, and a lot of times, people buy it for the performance. And everyone is entitle to look @ their car and believe in which ever they want to.

and ur in NO position to put people down, such as idssing EVO drivers or in this case any other Car Enthusiest cuz of their believes, so u can just back up bbuddy, grow up and mature b4 u say [censored] all? ok?
