Mobil 1 with Purolator Pure One, Wix or Nissan OEM filter. Good luck changing it yourself if you have the full aero kit!

Recommand Mobil 1 pure with K&N oil filter until you get over 15000miles. use synthetic oil after your car gets over 15000miles (amsoil, Motul etc..). Good luck

I almost wish I didn't have the aero kit. The bottom engine cover makes oil changes way too difficult. For the first time in my life I actually paid somebody else to change the oil in one of my cars.

there is a plastic cover with 10 or so bolts in it.

Annoying.. yes
difficult to deal with? NO

OK, difficult was a poor choice of words on my part. But it certainly slows down the process dramatically. My local Nissan dealer charges $35.95 for a Mobil 1 oil change. Factoring in the extra time it takes to remove the cover, I can't do it myself for that price. It's just been a little painful learning to trust others with my baby. In the long run, I'll be a better person for it. It is just a car after all!

we use a semi synthetic oil that does help extend the life of the engine

[QUOTE=HotRodW]Mobil 1 with Purolator Pure One, Wix or Nissan OEM filter. [QUOTE]

Did you know that the Pure One oil filter is bigger than the Nissan OEM? WHen I did my forst oil change, I compared the 2 and the Pure One seems to be longer but same diameter.
More area for filtration=teh cleanest !

it seems damn near impossible to get an accurate reading with the crappy design of infiniti's oil dipstick.

There are 2 facotry filters you can use
15208-65f00 the shorter correct one
15208-9e000 the longer one for 2001 & down. The only difference is length. The Pure One is a version of the 2nd one.
