Is the G35C really that exclusive!!!
i have been checking out nissannews.com for the past couple of months and it always seems like they sell as many coupes as 350zs. i thought there werent gonna sell too many coupes in order to maintain its exculsivity and retain its market value for years rahter than have the market flooded by them.
for the month of august they have sold 3182 Coupes compared to 3775 350z whereas in july they sold 3106 coupes compared to 3073 350zs. this really pisses me off!!!

Was the coupe not limited production? I read that somewhere, but it was about a year ago, so Infiniti may have changed their plan.

I never really thought of this car as exclusive, I see it more as a "special car", but it's affordable price makes it available to A LOT of people. But at least I see many more BMW's on the road, than I do G35 Coupes.

The G35 Coupe is only "limited" to the number they can sell.
Despite that, I've only seen 3 others since I've owned mine. I like it that way rather than blending in.

I think the only reason you're seeing more BMWs is because the Gs have only been out a year. Give it another few years and they'll probbaly be an even number of Beemers and Gs on the road
Re: Is the G35C really that exclusive!!!
The G35 is Infiniti's entry-level automobile (just under the I35 in base form). How many automakers make their cheapest car "exclusive"? It'd be exclusive for a Nissan, but is pretty much a top-seller for an Infiniti.
Speaking of which, anyone know how Infiniti's model sales break-out? How have I35s sold since the advent of the G?

Re: Is the G35C really that exclusive!!!
The G35 (sedan and coupe) has 56% of all Infinti sales for August, and 75% of all Infiniti car only sales!!! As for the I30/35, they are down over 31% since last year. Anybody still think the G is a just a fad?

Re: Is the G35C really that exclusive!!!
I have to totally agree with you guys. I actually had an Infiniti dealership try to tell me how rare the car and difficult it is to find this car on the lot. I replied back that Infiniti made between 25,000 - 30,000 for model year 2003. The salesperson told me I was flat out wrong. He said that they only made 9500. So, I countered with that on the Nissan website the production numbers were much higher. He told me I was wrong...only 9500 coupes were made. So then I mentioned that one of the coupes on sitting on his lot had a Vin in the 25,000 range. Again, he said that my info was all wrong.... I don't know, you do the math. Needless to say, I will not be buying my G35 Coupe from Infiniti of Nashville !!!!!!

AAAHHH!!! Infiniti of Nashville! You've said the evil name! That place sucks worse than satan sucking on something really, really hard. Words cannot explain. Agh! I had the worst sales experience of my life there-- who was your sales guy? Emmett was cool to me, but his sales manager was actively training them to lie horribly. He called me the night I'd settled on a deal in Indy and said "I'll give you a better deal on that car the Indy people offered you... the one they're trading for with Saint Louis?" then put a HOLD on the car I wanted in St.Louis so my dealership couldn't get it sent to them. This caused me to miss half of my vacation because I didn't have a car and had to deal with their bullsh*t. That's not even the half of the story- the way he talked to me was thoroughly inappropriate and unprofessional. And all of it was because the sales manager in Nashville wanted a new watch for high sales. Agh! Enough... enough...

Re: Is the G35C really that exclusive!!!
one of the factors in buying the G was that the bmw is very common and the G wasn't. i knew more would appear and i was never believing it would be rare. but the ratio of bmws to G weighed in on my decision.

Re: Is the G35C really that exclusive!!!
Personally, it is nice not to see too many G35 Coupes running around (which is the case now), but I know this will change. I am already seeing a lot of G35 Sedans, and I am sure more and more people are picking up the Coupes every day. I don't really mind it if the car becomes as common as the BMW 3-series...I absolutely love this car !!
