need 12V ignition power under hood

Hey guys,

Wiring in new fog lights that need a 12V ignition power so they turn on when car powers up. Can anyone steer me in the right direction.

Hmmm, the best thing I can think of is connecting directly to the battery with a toggel switch set up under the dash so it is hidden.

Got it done.

Took cig-lighter fuse power and ran it outside between the glass and bottom of a-pillar hid it and into the engine.

So ghetto .... but it'll get the job done.

You can always tap in to the wire that powers the OEM fog lights, so the new fogs only come on when the OEM fogs are on.

I agree with him. Depending on the draw you may need a 12 gauge wire connected directly to the battery then use a relay switch that goes back to your interior, hide it somewhere and flip away. Run the wire through the factory hole put into the firewall. Its a pain cutting into the firewall.
