Re: CAI for AT?

G35Gnome,
What do you mean by works great? Only that it fits and air flows through it!
How much more power?
How does it sound?
How does it look?
Pictures!
Tell us something!

Re: CAI for AT?

The z duct makes the engine sound louder and the stillen box has a big k&n filter in it that produces a cool whissling sound at high acceleration. Look in my profile for pics. I could definatelly feel the car pull harder. Those 2 things should give you around 10hp.

i havent forgotten. yesterday we had a company lunch and they let us off a couple of hours early (thank god) so i took advantage of that and began installing the injen cai as soon as i got home. the installation was simple and straightforward. upon completion i took it out for a test drive (muaahaha). the throttle is crisper, she pulls harder and she sounds oooo soo sweet! its a good mod, hope this helped.

Re: CAI for AT?

can you tell me how far down does the pipe go and where does the air filter sits.

also... did you have to remove front bumper to get it instaled and what was the total time for installation.

Re: CAI for AT?

Yes, u do have to remove the front bumper. you need to remove this foam part and a plastic part that are right behind the bumper, removing the bumper makes it easier to remove the bottom resonator aswell. The filter sits right behind the lower vallance grille (driver side of course). I took some pics...ill put them up on my registry when i get home so u can see for yourself. The install took me about 2.5-3 hours
