How many G owners came from Evos???
What you got is what you got
The way I look at it. When you pull the damn thing in the garage, it is still a Mitsubishi, regardless of how much power. Basically it is a personal preference. As for the guy commenting on the ignorant comment. Drive what you want and say what you want. I along with everyone else on this board that are truly appreciative of the G would say this "I had rather be driving a G". Evo's are cool little cars, do not get me wrong, just not as high of class.
Ehh I say its like comparing apples to oranges. They are two different cars built for two different purposes. The EVO is a performance car and is meant to be driven like you stole it. But the G is a entry level sport luxury car. It has the creature comforts one would expect for the price with the performance to keep you satisfied.
A little while ago I was stuck deciding between the 9 and the G, I test drove both cars and I liked the feel of the EVO better. I just couldn't get past the fact that the interior looked so crappy for the price and the warranty I heard s*cks donkey c**k. I chose the G and never regretted it once.

Well, I'm definately not keeping the evo. I need something that has a warranty. Plus for what I'm selling the evo for I can buy a G, or 330ci, or something comparable and still have money left over for other things. Maybe an M3 if I can find one for a good price.
The only thing with an M3 is I'm trying to keep the price around 25-30. You don't get much of an M3 for that price. I can get a decent used G or 330ci, probably even CPO for that price range. I think with the M3 I would be more tempted to mod it and parts are uber-expensive for that car.
I am definately buying something else, and I leaning hard towards a G. I just want to get some perspective to ensure I am making a good choice.

Keep the Evo or wait for the new GTR or something. Right now personally I'd take an Evo IX over a 2006 G35C, I enjoy the out of the box performance of the Evo, but hey if you are looking for something different go for the G35c. I also like the M3 idea that others have mentioned.
I lost my 11 second Evo to an accident
G is fun to drive.. I redlined it today but little dissapointed on how quick the it got there...
I have to say tho that car was special it took in mods so well, AFC was easy to tune and I didn't have no issues venting my blow off valve which broke necks ever turn I made.

Tell you one thing...the cops know ALL ABOUT the evo's. The G's are waaaaaay more stealthy. They look more classy than fast, especially if you don't get the spoiler.
I don't know about all this talk about the G is slow. That's a load of horsesh!t if you ask me. 280 hp, 5.6s 0-60, stock on a small car is slow? OK well then I guess the EVO is slow if you drive racecars. And racecars are slow if you fly jets so whatever. Besides, if you crave the speed you can make the G as fast as you want if you don't mind spending the $$$.

Like I have said, I came from having a modified 240sx pushing more horsepower then the G and I loved it. I parted ways with my car for a G35 and I have not regret it but I did miss boost and the feeling of raw power so you know what I did? I bought another 240sx for $400 and started all over again taking my time and not worrying.
Buy a project car and you can have the best of both worlds.

Just recently traded my STi for a 06mt. Even though it wasnt an evo, the STi and evo are very similar. I loved my STi but it was just to loud and, at times, it would be embarrising to drive.

I wouldn't state it would "eat them alive".
