tint issue
Just got her tinted today (GA legal). Looks good from a distance but has some small bubbles up close. The guy said the sun will bake most of them out but to take it back in a few days to take care of the rest. Whatcha think?

GA says passenger cars can't exceed 35% so that's what it is. It isn't very dark but looks better than it did. Paid 140$ but has quite a few flaws. If they don't go away or he can't fix em, I'm gonna have the rear window done somewhere else.
Awesome rides. Gotta get my LR coupe tinted too (been saying that for months). I read that those bubbles do in fact disappear after a few days, but definitely bring the car back since the tinter suggested it.
I'm actually more impressed by those homes!

I had a ton of little bubblers when i got mine done and they did go away after about a week. The place i got my windows done at said it will take about 3 weeks for them to go away. If i had any problems after 3 weeks, just bring it back. Well i had one in the drivers window and they took the original tint off and put new tint on. Now i have to drive with my windows up for the next few days..... just wish i could roll them down to hear that sweet exhaust note!!!

I wouldn't worry too much about the bubbles. I've had ten cars tinted during the past few years and every one of them has always had some bubbles for the first week or so. On my G which was tinted two weeks ago, there were two pea sized bubbles under the tint that went away after the car sat in the sun for a few days. Most tinters are reasonable people and they will usually replace the section for no charge. I'm now considering getting my front windshield tinted at 55% to block out some of the glare and UV.
(I'm not sure of the usual tint process)
Where I went the guy made a point of going around to all the bubbles and with a fine syringe, injecting more glue. He also had the windows baking with a high intensity heater. Never had a bubble and I refer tons of people to him. Now I'm a real pain in the tush, but I think I found someone who's even more of a fuss than I am.
He's in Pleasanton CA, it might be a bit of a drive for you GA guys...

when i got my rear overlays there were a few bubbles but he told me it was just water and that over a couple of weeks they will dry and stick which is what happened, bubble-free. dont mess with them though.
I wouldnt worry too much, wait a day or two then see..

Cool. I work at HAAF. Where in Richmond Hill did you take it? I went a place across from the gate at Hunter. What really irritated me was he did the rear window in two pieces and there is a bubble line all the way across. I might end up taking it somewhere else if it doesn't look better/get fixed when i take it back on tuesday.
This guy did one piece in the back great work too..
He is right across the WalMart in Richmond Hill..I have to find his card, and Ill pm you the numbner.
We need to hook up some time..I have only have audio/video mods so far (TVandnavtogo PNP, PS2, 4080 box & amp rack), PA11-NIS w/Ipod Nano. (and clear corners) what you got planned?
