im the same way I love the exhaust sound. I Can hear the exhaust a block away and know its a g35 or 350z pulling up lol. I turned my head 3 times yesterday knowing a G35 was neerby lol and I was right everytime.

I love stock, Im adding a pop charger/ztube and spacer to my car next month I hope the car still sounds just as good just louder?

I kept the stock exhaust as I didn't want to change that exhaust note. It is actually a nice and aggressive naturally sounding exhaust note without getting too overly loud and obnoxious. I didn't want to drive thru a quiet little neighbourhood sounding like a street racer. The combination is just right. You don't really have to rev it all the way up to hear the nice howl. Although, I'd swear that I still get tons of stares as I'm coasting by slowly. Cruising in underground parkades are the absolute best locations to enjoy the Coupe's exhaust (with all windows rolled down). That's when everyone stops what they are doing while staring at you cruising by. It's like "wait, I think I hear an exotic car coming...."
i'm considering the ztube and jwt popcharger myself to enhance the sound a bit. can you chime in on the difference of sound between the jwt popcharger and the stillen airbox?

Our cars sound really good at idle too when the exhaust is very cold, such as if you start it up on a crisp 25 degree fall evening.

i love the exhaust sound too but unfortunately i cant really enjoy it because of all the rattles and clicking noises i have with my car =(. so because of that i usually have the stereo up really high.

The exhaust note for me was a huge draw to the car originally....its just so damn hot. I too would like to make it slightly louder without changing the note....I am thinking Z-tube, maybe MREV Motordyne spacer as well. I think this exhaust note is single-handedly destroying my MPG

I left work today to run some errands, and on the way back, I was behind a 350Z convertible (black). After a few cars cleared, he gave it some gas to move ahead, and I was like , the Z sounds like that? Maybe he's got aftermarket (but I don't think so). Does mine sound that cool from the outside?

Now I have to make someone drive my G, so I can hear for myself.....but that's a dilemma in itself.....someone ELSE driving my G?

Hell yes it sounds that cool from the outside. Many will even say that the G sounds better. I love the sound of my car....I had my friend get in it and mash on it just so I could hear what it sounded like from outside.

Some of you guys actually trust someone else driving your G? And because of this dilemna, I too still haven't heard my own car's exhaust sound as a bystander watching and hearing my own car driving by.

The Z and G does sound slightly different due to the slight length variance in the exhaust pipe tubing, which contributes to a very very slight pitch difference (only audible to the well-trained ear). Either way, they all sound amazing!

To answer a question that was raised a few posts back, I think the JWT Popcharger and Stillen Airbox will sound about the same in conjunction with use of the factory Z-tube. They are basically similarly styled cone filters with different heat deflecting shields. Slightly more air intake = slightly more exhaust rumbling output
