ok i just got some topspeed headers installed on my coupe today..and the exhaust has rasp to it...not just at certain rpm but all the way through...i have a popcharger and ztube, 5/16 spacer, and a custom dual exhaust with dual resonators and dual magnaflow mufflers...i just wanted to know if anyone has an idea on how to get rid of some if not all of the raspiness??..i already had an H pipe custom installed on the exhaust to eliminate the rasp that that was causing...but now i have rasp cause of the headers...do you think wrapping portions of the exhaust with header wrap will help??..or is it possible to add another custom H pipe??..please help!!..

 

with that much airflow it will be hard to control it. i have a lot of rasp as well but its only crazy from 3-4k after that its just sexy rasp. even the resonated testpipees that your getting will not completely eliminate rasp, just make it less than test pipes would.

 

i dont wanna completely eliminate it..i just want to make it a little bit more subtle...that is how you spell that right?

 

heat wrap your cats and it should go away.

 

I'd bet the rasp (now and before your H) is because of the magnaflows - i've heard clips of them and they sound god aweful (like a raspy 4banger)

 

not really anything you can do about it

 

add bigger resonators or some more resonators...
